Puppet Show - Learning through Puppetry PBL Project
This is a collaborative, hands-on project that would be appropriate in a variety of Education, Child Development and Family Services courses. It teaches students how to use puppetry as an age appropriate tool to provide important lessons to children in a fun and engaging format.
Lesson 1 - Students will apply knowledge of how puppetry can be used as a tool for teaching young children.
Lesson 2 - Student groups will be provided with the Puppet Show Project assignment and rubric and begin work on the script.
Lesson 3 - Student groups will continue work on scripts and design puppets.
Lesson 4 - Student groups will digitally record their script with character voices and optional sound effects. They will finalize details on their puppets and participate in both a dress rehearsal and final puppet show performance.
This project is brought to you by Wendy Cox (CTE) with support from the CTE Online curriculum leadership team and detailed coordination provided by the Course Team Lead Joshua Bradley.
